Now The Rumors Are Confirmed - Jon Jonsson joins Elfsborg

The central defender has been courted by the Swedish side ever since Elfsborg got money with the transfer of Bajrami to Twente. Jonsson will be returning to his home club after brief and unsuccessful spells to the French side Tolouse and Brondby, which were plagued by injuries. The transfer fee for the best Allsvenskan defender for 2006 is rumored to be around 500 000 EUR. 

Elfsborg management will be happy with the capture, as they said previously that are interested in attracting a new central defender and a keeper to help them secure a place in the European competitions.
