GAZZAEV: I DO NOT REGRET THAT HAVE NOT LEFT EARLIER

The former head coach of Krylya Sovetov Yuriy Gazzaev commented on his decision to leave the club.

"Since October of the last year till July many events happened that forced me to quit," said Gazzaev.

"When I was offered to take over the club the question was that I was to answer for the entire set of sports aspects. I wanted Krylya to develop, its infrastructure to grow."

"For as for football Samara the only advantage is its supporters who are really special here. There are no such fans anywhere. But there is nothing else – there are no fields, no qualified coaching staff. And unfortunately I could not change the situation."

"I decided to resign after the match when no our player can feel ashamed. Spartak had great advantage and created many moments but no one can reproach any of my footballers in the lack of self-commitment."

"But I never regretted that I have not left the club in the off-season when I had other proposals. I always try to find something positive in everything and there were many positive things in Samara."

"I got in a wonderful atmosphere here that one can only dream of, worked with great players and I think I did something myself."

"If Krylya played in the third league I would have never leaved the team but to my mind the club is ok and they are strong enough to compete."
