Villarreal fired Valverde after disappointing defeat

Villarreal announced the dismissal of coach Ernesto Valverde on Sunday night by a statement posted in the club website. The decision was taken after the heavy defeat at home against Osasuna (0-2).

 The yellow submarine board will announce in the coming days who will be the next manager but that is more likely to be Michael Laudrup according to Marca. 

 Valverde's dismissal is the sixth for the season in Prmera Division after those Resino (Atletico Madrid),  Mandía (Racing), Toral (Zaragoza), Hugo Sanchez (Almeria) and  Ziganda (Xerez).
