Olympique Marseille got a 1:1 draw against Bordeaux away from home. Lucho Gonzalez's calm finish gave the early lead to Olympique. Then Olympique could increase the lead after a free kick, but Bordeaux's goalkeeper was brilliant in this one. In 34 minute Olympique's defensive midfielder got a red card. Second half was more about goalkeepers who did some great saves. Loric Remy was stopped twice by Bordeaux's goalie. In last minutes a star of Ligue 2, Anthony Modeste scored a controversial goal - opponents claimed a minimal, really minimal offside and foul on Olympique's defender. Now Olympique will play against Monaco, the team who never was a easy opponent for Olympique Marseille. Centre forward Loric Remy is injured as he picked up an injury during France - Belarus game. He just can't start play regular for a new club - first he was not able to play, because there were some rumors about problems with his heart - this was a false alarm. Then he finally make his debut, but now is injured again. Hard time for him.
Monaco won 2:0 against Auxerre at home. Former Auxerre striker Daniel Niculae opened the score, but it was more thanks to Auxerre goalkeeper Sorin who should do better in this situation. Then, after a fast counter attack and dynamic of Mbokani Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang scored second goal in this match and his second goal in this season. In whole 2009/2010 season he scored only twice for Lille, now at Monaco he already scored twice. Similar case is Niculae - in last season only 4 goals for Auxerre, now already 2 goals for Monaco. It was also Mbokani debut and he played very well. Their offensive performance improving, against Olympique Marseille they should have bunch of occasions to play with counter attack. Monaco has still the same injury worries - a couple of defensive midfielders and winger Alejandro Alonso.
Left attacking midfielder Chris Malonga moved to AS Monaco from Nancy. In last season he played 25 times in Ligue 1 (scored 4 goals & collected 6 assists). In this season he played only 38 minutes. Maybe this is one of the reasons why Nancy is so impotent in attack. Perhaps Monaco hopes that 23 years old player will be a new Nene? We will see, he is in the match squad so he probably debut against Olympique. Monaco know how to create a star from unknown player (and also don't know how to use player who is already a star...). On the other hand Monaco sold defensive midfielder Diego Perez (to Bologna, Serie A) who struggled to be so influential as in Uruguay National Team. In this season he did not play any minute. Another player who was sold is striker Eidur Gudjohnsen who can't find his place at Monaco. 
Prediction: Odds on home win are too short in my opinion. If Monaco show solid performance in defence they easily score something from counter-attack. Olympique's defenders and goalie are often erratic so this game could end in every way. My advise is to lay Olympique Marseille.
