Sebastian Eguren Will Not Continue With AIK

Just a day before Uruguay's bronze match against Germany, it is clear that the World Cup participant Sebastian Eguren will leave AIK and Allsvenskan for the Spanish La Liga club Sporting Gijon.

Gijon has announced on its official website that the Uruguayan midfielder signed a three year contract.

Eguren came to the Swedish champions in February, but with no success - he played only seven matches in spring. He managed to get a place in Uruguay's World Cup squad, though. 

"He is a very complete midfielder," said Emilio de Dios, sports director of Sporting Gijon.
