Lens Monaco Match Preview

Preview:

Lens was clearly better against Arles-Avignon. They created good chances in first half, but had problems with finishing. Second half was similar, but Arles started create some danger after a counter attacks. Finally, a fresh substitute David Pollet scored a header after a set piece. Lens won 1:0 after solid performance, but it's more and more obvious that they need real class striker. Midfielder Sam Sow is injured, he was regular player in last season, but in this he did not play any minute. Central midfielder Sidi Keita who was regular at Xerez last season is injured too. The good news is that important defensive midfielder Kovacevic should play for the first time in this season. Goalie Runje and midfielder Hermach suffered some minor injuries in last they, but are in the squad and should play.
Monaco played against Montpellier on Tuesday, because on Saturday rain was too heavy. Goalless draw in this match was surely better result for Montpellier. Both sides showed that they suffer on lack of decent strikers. Both team had some chances, but it was not to many and not clear enough. Monaco's South Korea striker has the best chance for the team, but shooted off target. Some important players are still out: central midfielders - Perez, Haruna, Eduardo Costa, winger Alejandro Alonso (2 goals & 7 assists in last season). Reserve strikers are also out.
Both sides can't scoring many goals, Monaco is also very solid in defence so under 2.5 should be the best option.

Tip: Under
